Maerospace announced live operations of its fourth-generation PASE HFSWR at Cape Race, Newfoundland, available for virtual and in-person customer demonstrations. The site's shelter has UPS and diesel backup and is managed remotely over satellite from the company's operations centre in Waterloo.
Maerospace said Raytheon Missiles & Defense awarded it a CAD 6.7 million offset funding contract to build and operate a permanent fourth-generation PASE HFSWR demonstration system in Newfoundland, with a command operations centre in Waterloo and a regional centre in St. John's.
Maerospace said it won a phase 1b contract under DND's IDEaS program to develop a Persistent Multi-Sensor Predictive Platform that correlates long-range radar tracks with satellite AIS data, building on its phase 1a work.
