AIAA's Aerospace America reported that SES tested near-full-scale versions of its complete DASS GNX turbo-ramjet in July and August 2024, including early destruction testing. aerospaceamerica.aiaa.org ↗
In July-August 2025 at its Villeneuve Airport facility, the precooler-enabled turbojet demonstrated performance to Mach 3 and full-scale ramjet tests sustained hydrogen combustion up to 30 seconds. aerospaceamerica.aiaa.org ↗
Mach 5 remains simulation only: the 2025 ground tests demonstrated Mach 3 on the turbojet, with simulations extending to Mach 5. No SES vehicle has flown. aerospaceamerica.aiaa.org ↗

Its 51-200 headcount band is self-declared on LinkedIn, where only about ten members are associated with the company. Treat the band as the company's own claim rather than a measured figure. linkedin.com ↗
Its own site gives two different HELLO-1 payload figures to low Earth orbit, 1,000 kg on one page and 550 kg on another, so the figure here should be read as unsettled. spaceenginesystems.com ↗

DASS GNX
Turbo-ramjet engine
Precooled air-breathing turbo-ramjet: an afterburning turbojet from zero to Mach 3 and a ramjet from Mach 3 to Mach 5, rated 88.9 kN sea-level static thrust on multiple fuels. Ground-tested hardware; no flight.
Piloted hypersonic demonstrator, with an uncrewed option, designed to take off from a runway, cruise at Mach 5 between 28 and 32 km and glide back to base. Engine integration was under way as of October 2024; it has not flown.
Reusable horizontal-takeoff vehicle combining DASS GNX with a rocket engine for a suborbital trajectory to 100 km, and 1,000 kg to low Earth orbit via a transfer vehicle. Design stage; the site says a first test-flight schedule will be announced, with no date.
Announced partnership (June 2024) on hypersonic ISR strike and missiles. The release states no agreement type - not an MOU, teaming agreement or contract - and no follow-up has been published.
