Zero Trust connectivity platform
Creates a peer-to-peer mesh network (a tailnet) of encrypted WireGuard connections between devices and services. Connections traverse firewalls and NAT without port forwarding, and access policies are tied to user identity. It can also route traffic through an exit node like a traditional VPN.

Tailscale announced that Border0, a privileged access management product already integrated with Tailscale, is now part of the company. It covers SSH and Kubernetes access, RDP/VNC remote admin, database access controls and session recording. Tailscale plans to build a more native Tailscale PAM offering on the same foundation.
Tailscale raised US$160 million (C$230 million) in a Series C led by Accel, with participation from CRV, Insight Partners, Heavybit and Uncork Capital. CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz and Squarespace CEO Anthony Casalena also invested.
Tailscale announced a $100M Series B led by CRV and Insight Partners, with existing investors Accel, Heavybit and Uncork Capital participating. The post says Avery Pennarun, David Carney and David Crawshaw started the company in 2019.
